The Mavericks Clearwater Concert reviews
Aerosmith wins again
Alright, so in Texas, that's how we do it. I got to the show, it's hot as hell. I really wish The Mavericks would play an arena show instead of doing amphitheatre shows, but I digress.
Blue October is coming on, I get excited. Then Blue October starts singing, and I am bummed. Terrible live performance. Don't get me wrong, their music is still good, but it's more of a spoken word than singing the chorus for many of their songs. I give them a 6 out of 10 overall.
The Mavericks, the main event. I saw them last year, will see them again and again. This is my 3rd time seeing them, and I own many of their albums. The reason why? They know how to perform/play/sing great music. They switched it up a little from last year and played a few songs I hadn't heard them perform. Each song was performed to perfection, if I must say.
Overall, from me, the show gets a 9 out of 10 overall. The lighting scheme and stage setup were very similar to last year, so nothing new there. Singing was a 10 out of 10. Song choice, 9.5 out of 10, would have gotten a 10 if they hadn't played a Honkin on Bobo song right after Joe Perry's blues song. Performance, 10 out of 10. Steven Tyler and the Guys kick it old school and still put on a great show.
I recommend this to any Aerosmith fan, it is well worth any amount of money.
